About Me

Hi, I'm El--an Occupational Therapist and Professional Home Organizer who helps individuals and families create calm, functional homes.
My deeper understanding of organization began about 10 years ago, when my son, now 18, was officially diagnosed with Autism, ADHD and anxiety. Through our journey, I experienced firsthand how predictable routines and an organized environment can ease stress, support regulation, and bring a greater sense of peace to everyday life.
As I searched for solutions that truly worked for our family, I discovered my own organizational style through Cassandra Aarssen's Clutterbug philosophy. Learn your organizing style in just a few minutes with the Clutterbug quiz! Learning that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to organization--and that systems should support how our brains naturally function--was transformative. Implementing those strategies brought clarity and relief to our home, and I knew I wanted others to experience that same sense of freedom.
That clarity led to the creation of The Therapeutic Organizer~
where Occupational Therapy meets compassionate, practical organization.
I hold a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from RUSH University in Chicago and have more than 25 years of hospital experience working with individuals recovering from acute neurological, orthopedic, and burn injuries. I also hold certifications through the Institute for Challenging Disorganization, including Chronic Disorganization, Aging Clients, and ADHD Specialization. ICD is one of the top educational resources in the field of professional organizing, productivity consulting, and ADHD coaching. This not-for-profit organization provides education and training to professional organizers and related professionals who specialize in working with the population affected by chronic disorganization.
I specialize in supporting busy parents (especially those with neurodivergent children) by creating systems, schedules, and spaces that feel manageable, peaceful. and sustainable.

I also work with older adults during life transitions, those with a physical dysfunction or recovering from an injury, downsizing, and home safety planning, including fall prevention, energy conservation, proper body mechanics, accessibility, and adaptive equipment recommendations.
We all deserve to find a sense of calm in a world that often feels overwhelming. I'd be honored to help you create peace of mind--right in your own home.
